As far as college I haven't decided on one yet, but I don't want to go back in Sept. I want to start in January. I've also decided that I want to get involved in art, either through tatoo art, graphic design or digital animation. Art is a huge release for me, and I know that my parents never really enrolled me in art classes ( I had to do that myself through elective classes in jr. high and high school), but I'm fully aware that it isn't too late to hone my skills and make money off of doing something I've had a love affair with.
But I have to say something, *ahem*: I'm so sick of it!!!!!!
I understand that everything goes through it's trends, it's just as natural as the seasons, but somethings you just can't help but get sick of. Like bands using the same chord progression for half the songs on an album, or unorignal lyrics. I am talking about the current obession brought on by the media with vampires. I'm sick of hearing about the Twilight series, Stephanie Meyer, and not being able to walk into HotTopic with out seeing Edward's face plastered somewhere; not even Spencer's is safe from this plague-like obsession that has swallowed this nation whole and is still spreading like aids.
I know that that seems pretty strongly worded there, and I know it is. I'm truly sick of it. I've read part of the Twilight series, and it is mostly good ( although some parts are a bit too predictable), and I don't have anything against Stephanie Meyer...I respect her ability to see an image in her mind and then put it down on paper. Instead my quarrel is with this whole nation, it seems like everyone makes a big deal about the lives of others instead of living their own and contributing to society. I hate how alot of people in this country do not embrace individuallity, and instead go with whatever someone thinks is cool. That is why i'm so angry, but that makes me more determined than ever to finish righting Demoness and ship a hard copy to the patent office, and in the distant future get it published. Whatever happened to the good old horror like Stephen King, the captivating style of Anne Rice, or just the lovely blood, guts, and gore found in the Lord of the Rings books. Clearly no one has ever really thought to write about necromancers except for Wizards of the Coast, untill me, although there could be others out there.
You see with the exception of ice cream, chocolate, and good quality metal, I try to stay as far away from popularity as possible. I've made it a mission to stand out amongst other metal heads. that's why I'm so determined to write now. And chapter 8 of Demoness will be out in a few days.

I just hope that you can forgive me sometime.

I am me, and no one else. Judge me, but don't ever hurt me.
